This blaster was a daunting task simply because of the size and intricacy of the prop. I decided to do it slowly in sections. Black primer layer, and masked green chipped-paint effect on some parts with a stainless steel paint for accents. I wired it to use a blaster core, but ended up installing a used Crystal Shard 3 sound card as I had one handy. I plan to upgrade the electronics later, and designed the prop to come apart easily to accommodate that upgrade. Metallic edges are achieved with dry rubbing various metallic model paints. The stencils were tricky, but manageable with the Silhouette cameo vinyl cutter.
